I keep waiting for SNL to do spoof of Glee that includes an over-the-top mash-up. Like, maybe a four-song monstrosity that incorporates Rebecca Black’s Friday, Chicago’s Saturday in the Park, U2’s Sunday Bloody Sunday, and Manic Monday by the Bangles. (They could call it Long Weekend.)

Because Glee just wouldn’t be Glee without the mash-ups. Two great songs melted together for an even better super-song! I’m especially excited for this week’s episode, not just because it’s finally back from a seven-week hiatus, but also because guest star Matt Bomer is performing a mash-up of Duran Duran’s Rio and Hungry Like the Wolf. How have we gone nearly three seasons without some Duran Duran? Never too late, though.

So, taking a cue from Glee, I’ve pulled together some food mash-ups—i.e. foods that were never meant to be together, but somehow work in the most delicious way.

The bacon-wrapped dates stuffed with blue cheese are my favorite. And believe me, I looked down my nose at beer margaritas, too, until I tried them.

Enjoy!
